CLARITY. OWNERSHIP. EXECUTION.

CX CONSULTING

straight talk

If execution still runs through you, the company has a ceiling

You can push through it for a while.

But eventually the cost shows up as:

  • Stalled or conflicting priorities

  • Leadership fatigue

  • Decision congestion

  • Unpredictable performance

  • Revenue flat-line

  • Goals missed

  • Lost customers/clients

The solution is not more effort.  It’s the right operating structure.

DOES THIS DESCRIBE YOUR DAY?

"We’re constantly firefighting."

You’re not short on ideas—you’re short on clarity about which ones will actually work, when to pursue them, and what they’ll require.

The business pulls you into short-term decisions while longer-term gaps remain hard to see. Multiple issues compete for attention, but there’s no clear way to prioritize, sequence, or stabilize execution.

What’s missing isn’t ambition or effort. It’s the COO layer, someone that can see the whole system dispassionately, diagnose the real constraint, and align people, resources, and decisions around what matters most.

When execution is unstable, the business quietly bleeds. Leadership energy, revenue consistency, margin, decision confidence, and momentum. Most founders wait because the damage isn’t obvious—until it compounds.

THE REAL COST OF WAITING

is THIS YOU DAILY?

FEELING THE PAIN

  • If I’m not involved, it doesn’t move.

  • Everything waits for me.

  • We start a lot, but nothing finishes.

  • Everyone is working hard, but results are thin.

  • My leadership team escalates everything.

  • Everything feels urgent and reactive.

  • We don’t know what’s working until it’s too late.

  • We don’t know what to fix first.

  • Priorities reset every time focus shifts.

  • Execution collapses when I step back.

This is what happens when a company outgrows founder-led execution. If these are true, you’re likely at the COO inflection point.

WHY CX CONSULTING

Most fractional COO support improves operations.

I change the operating reality of the company.

Many fractional COO providers focus on process improvement, systems, and execution support.

I operate differently. I function as the CEO’s executive counterpart—diagnosing the true constraint beneath the noise, correcting direction at the decision level, and installing ownership so execution becomes durable.

This is why my work doesn’t feel like consulting. It feels like the missing operating layer finally exists.

Execution That Doesn’t Run Through

CX Consulting provides fractional, interim, and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) engagements for privately held B2B and B2C businesses ($5M–$100M revenue) when growth, transition, or complexity has outpaced how the company actually functions.

I’m the COO counterpart founders hire when the business outgrows founder-led execution….

bringing objective clarity to high-stakes decisions, then installing the ownership and operating structure that makes execution hold without constant oversight.

Emily Schneider Founder of CX Consulting

  • I have to say, Emily is amazing at what she does because she truly puts everything into it. She just gets your goals - even the parts you can’t fully explain - and then brings them to life in a way that exceeds your standards, all the way down to the smallest details. She sees what others miss and really listens - like genuinely listens. She also understands the emotional side of your business - what you truly want to convey and create. Her emotional intelligence (which is rare to find) is what makes her work feel aligned, authentic, and fully brought to life. She brings so much passion and energy to every project she takes on, and I think that’s because she only says yes to work she truly believes in. So if she’s working with you, consider yourself lucky—you’ll know she’s all in. Emily truly wants to help make your dreams a reality.

The Decision Rights + Escalation Framework
for Founder-Led Companies

If execution still runs through you, the business does not yet have an operating layer.

Download the framework that shows exactly why.

A concise executive briefing. Immediate clarity. No fluff.

Execution That Holds.

Execution That Holds.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1 _ Discovery Call

We identify what’s happening, what’s at risk, and what outcome you need. I clarify what’s actually driving the chaos, drag, or stalled execution.

Step 2 _ Engagement Outline Creation

I prepare your recommended engagement outline covering the objective, timeline, and milestones.

We meet and you’ll get a clear recommendation for the right model: Strategic Partner, Fractional COO, or Embedded Interim COO.

If there’s a fit, we move quickly. If there isn’t, you’ll still leave with clarity.

Step 3 _ Engagement Recommendation

- AM I READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP?

GUT CHECK

This is NOT for you if:

  • You want an immediate quick fix

  • You’re fine with the status quo

  • You’re not ready for big change to product, people, or direction

  • You’re optimizing short term over durability

  • You believe no one can be trusted to own outcomes

  • You want compliance, not leadership

  • You’re looking for tactical project management

  • You want “better processes” without changing leadership behavior

This IS for you if:

  • You are the final decision-maker

  • Execution depends on you

  • Your company has outgrown its current operating structure

  • Your leadership team is capable, but outcomes don’t hold

  • You need clarity and execution at the same level

  • You want the business to operate without constant founder involvement

Your Questions, Answered

the FAQs
  • Engagements are typically 12–18 months and structured as fixed-term retainer contracts. Many clients extend based on business needs and CX bandwidth.

  • Remote execution works when decision rights, accountability, cadence, and metrics are installed correctly. I work through structured operating rhythms, direct leadership partnership, and outcome-based execution systems that do not require physical proximity.

  • Hiring a full-time COO is a major commitment—and most founders delay it because they don’t know what “great” looks like. Fractional COO support gives you executive-level operating leadership without a permanent hire, faster installation of structure and accountability, less hiring risk, lower cost, and a quicker path to stability and traction.

  • I’m industry-agnostic. I work with founder-led companies where growth or complexity has outpaced the operating structure. Cross-industry pattern recognition is my (and my client’s) strategic advantage—many of the most expensive breakdowns repeat across industries.

As a general rule, I work with B2B and B2C companies, with average annual revenues between $5 - $75M, and head counts between 20-150.

  • I have 3 engagement types. All are fixed term retainers, paid monthly. Each engagement falls within a standard range based on complexity, outcomes, and constraints

  • You can reach me anytime via the contact page. I aim to respond quickly— usually within one business day. You can also reach out to me on LinkedIn.

  • If execution depends on you, priorities collapse when your attention shifts, and leadership accountability doesn’t hold—you are likely at the COO inflection point. The diagnostic tool will confirm.

  • A Fractional COO installs the operating layer while the founder remains moderately involved, fractional COOs typically work a reduced number of days. An Embedded Interim COO steps in full time during instability, transition, or leadership gaps where immediate executive operating leadership is required.

  • That’s normal. The initial conversation is designed to diagnose what’s actually happening and recommend the correct model based on strategic needs, urgency, constraints, and outcomes.

If you're carrying too much of the operating system and execution depends on you, this is likely the right next step.

Complete the form and I’ll respond personally.
